I’m going to do a full report on my whole hunt, but wanted to throw this out there, my first buffalo! 62 yard, quartering to shot with the 450 Rigby made quick work. Super exciting hunt. More to come on the rest of the hunt.

Thread 'SOUTH AFRICA: South Africa With Dinkwe Safaris'

This is my 3rd trip to South Africa, and I decided to finally go for a buffalo. I have kept going back to Dinkwe Safaris and this time was no exception; they take such good care of me why go anywhere else! I spoiled myself again with business class this time on Emirates, which I have to say is the way to go on these long flights. No issues with Emirates concerning guns and ammo, just have to fill out the permission form. For hardware I decided on my pre-64 model 70 in 300 H&H for all the plains game and my 450 Rigby for the Buffalo. PH picked us (me, my son, and 2 other buddies) at the...

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
