@85lc I don't recall the name but if you look back through the postings in these classifieds there was a retiring gunsmith from Port Angeles, WA who was selling a stock inletting/duplicating machine along with a bunch of blanks. It noted that it sold so if you can find the entry you may be able to track down the buyer and he/she may be able to do the work for you.

Is there a difference in the inletting of a stock for an 03-A3 compared to the older 03?

they are the same action, the o3-a3 was heat treated differently

It's a plus that neither of these stocks have the unsightly slot cut in left side for useless third position of bolt release. Boyds insists on carving the slot in their 1903 stocks and I think it likely hurts their sales.
I really like the looks of that first one. Maybe I need it. For almost thirty years my old war horse has been limping along with a neatly mended crack on one side the mag box and a filled gouge in the face of cheek rest. There is an obvious issue with the above prettier stock which explains it's very reasonable price. I think I could make it work (I successfully added the same additional reenforcement to the second stock for my 404 Mauser project). I doubt it would be possible to checker this stock but the one on my rifle was never checkered and it's killed more than a hundred animals.
I'm thinking about it!!
