Are these bullets safe to reload for my .375 ruger haweye African? The bullets are long. thanks for any help with this. Nick B.

That bullet was developed for the long range 375’s like 375 Cheytac. By the time you got an A-tip seated for a 375 Ruger you won’t have room for the powder to drive it I would surmise.

If you could load it to fit your rifle's chamber and magazine, would it actually stabilize in your rifle's rate of twist?

Safe probably but they would have to be single fed. They are target bullets.

Hornady calls it a match bullet for a reason. It's not bonded so it isn't built well for what most of us want for dangerous game. As mentioned, the only way to make it work in a standard magazine is to seat it deep and now you lose powder capacity. Then Hornady recommends a 1:8 to 1:11" twist and looking up my Ruger M77 African, it is a 1:12". So, if you want it to work you'll need a custom rifle and even then, why when 300 grain bonded or monometal bullets will work better.

Zackly! Figured it would be 12" for the Ruger. I think my custom bl. is as well. Some might be 14"?

Stick to 300-350gr. Your shoulder, your rifle, and your targets will all be happier. I learned this one the expensive way

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
