What's your favorite 9.3X57 load ?

I just picked up my Huskvarna 146 from the gunsmith the other day and need some load data. If you have a favorite load, I would like to know about it. I have some factory Norma 286gr Alaskan but it's slow and I don't need a bonded core bullet. The rifle shows promise as far as accuracy is concerned whithout having to float the barrel. It's going to be my beat about deer / garage and pickup truck rifle. I have plenty of 250gr Nosler AB's , Speer 270gr, 286gr and 250gr Woodleighs and Privi Partizans.

I have in excess of 250lbs of powder here and no Ramshot here or Reloader series powder, but I have about everythig else, The little gun shop down the road has a pile of Reloader 15 which I think will work @ $50.00 a pound but no Ramshot.

I have several pounds of RL15.
I'll be interested to see if anyone has some reloading recommendations for 9.3x57
 
For those of you who are leary about postng your loads. I'm a precision reloader and long range precision rifle shooter and have been reloading since I was 7 years old and am now at the ripe young age of 75, I just want a short cut. for once, You can DM me if that would make you feel more comfortable, I understand.

FYI, norma is the only head stamped brass I've found. I read its thinner so rated for lower pressure than resizing 8mm brass. I use prvi 8mm brass run through a hornady die. No issues.

Thank you for the data, printed it off and just ordered that back issue,thanks. I have 3 boxes of factory Norma ammo and 100 new Norma brass from Raven Rocks. I will be set for a while.

I loaded up a bunch of 286 grain North Fork cup nose solids over 45.5 grains of Varget (max load i intend after working up from 42) for my 9.3x57 Mauser 96 project gun replete with Skinner peep. Varget is a very stable powder unlikely to produce high pressures, so the literature says. Having no expectations I was very surprised how well this thing shoots, and how pleasantly. Even the report of the thing is a pleasant deep "boom" rather than a "crack." No pressure issues evident in brass or bolt operation. I was beginning to notice the recoil at little more and that's where i quit. I had seen recommendations for "mid 40's" with Varget in this rifle and calibre so that's what we did. I'm pleased as punch with this svelte little Mauser.

For anyone following this post, my issues with non-lockup of some handloaded cartridges in my rifle of this calibre were indeed solved today by turning the necks of the resized brass. Shaving a smidgen down off the necks of the brass did the trick. In case anyone else runs into this issue.
