Just getting home from our SECOND safari with Noorsveld Safaris, and somehow this trip was even more memorable than the first.
Mother Nature threw absolutely everything at us this time. Snow, record rainfall, flooding, lightning strikes that knocked out cell service for days, and high gusty winds that never seemed to let up until the day we departed. Our vehicles were stuck in the mud almost daily. At times it felt less like a hunting trip and more like an expedition movie with a very questionable transportation department.
And yet… it was incredible.
Huge credit to Sakkie and Gert, who worked tirelessly every single day to keep us on animals despite brutal conditions. Their determination, experience, and positive attitude never wavered. Our party of three brought home over 25 trophies, all mature bulls, which says everything about the quality of the hunt and the effort behind it.
The food was phenomenal again, the hospitality was first class, and the entire Noorsveld team treated us like family from the moment we arrived until the moment we left.
Some outfitters can provide a hunt. Very few can create an adventure you’ll still be laughing and talking about years later. This was one of those trips.
