What did you reload today?

I found this on the Nosler Reloading Forum from 2014 (just do a google search for 416 Taylor). Seems both those powders are super compressed at the charge you're talking about. Guy has QL results for almost every powder showing load ratio.

Powder type Filling/Loading Ratio Charge Vel. Burnt P max
Accurate 4064 110.0 68.4 2415 100.0 55032
IMR 4064 110.0 69.2 2472 99.2 63638

Doh, I may have found the issue. It is Bertram Brass, not Norma. Back to the press and load up some Norma brass ammo.

Thanks, I’ll back off a grain and go from there.

Today 8x68s
Brenneke TIG 12.8g (196gr)
Case RWS 67.30mm (cap. 85.90gr) 1xfire
primer RWS 5333
OAL 86.50mm (comp 75.65mm)
Rotw R905 74.0gr (fil 104%)
Speed 865m/s
group 1moa Blaser R8

300 grain A Frames in the 375 H&H and 400 grain for the 450/400.

Every time I send one of those A-Frames down range it kills my soul they are so hard to get. This batch should confirm the load for each rifle for my August trip to Zim. Then I’ll load up enough for the trip and switch to practice loads for most of the time between now and then.

275 rigby with 156 grain norma oryx and 223 rem with 70 grain barnes tsx. These are for my trip to SA in may.

After finishing up case prep by trimming a couple hundred pieces of once fired brass, I loaded up a ladder of 100 grain TTSX over H4350 for my “new to me” FN Mauser in 257 Roberts.

Interested to hear results. I’m about to start loading for a 257 Roberts and have a lot of H4350 on hand.

I see you are an RCBS man through and through. I have hundreds of baggies like that; never thought of using them for ladders. Thanks for the idea!

510gr Winchester softs for the 458 win mag, beside a couple factory 458 Lott. I dry tumbled the reloads an hour and an half after finishing and they are shiny. You can see a wee bit of dry media stuck in the cannelure of the bullet, easily removed tho. Cheers

Yeah, but there's a fingerprint left on one of the WM bullets. What is your anneal process? I'm about to start with the water pan and hand torch on a record player method. Don't laugh.

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
