Good day Members,

It is with great sadness that I share the passing of forum member, and good friend, Dewald van der Walt.

Dewald was a well-known Doctor and Professional Hunter in South Africa and a valued contributor to our forum. He generously shared his knowledge and experience with our community, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife, family, and friends during this difficult time.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Boela, it was with shock I heard the news this morning a lover of Brno hunting rifles he worked extra hard as a trauma doctor so that he could spend well deserved times in the bush after DG with his rifles or double.

He will surely be missed, way too young to have gone.
Praying for peace and comfort for the people he left behind.

He will be missed.
Condolences to his wife, family and close friends.

Dewald and I shared hunting grounds and a love for Spaniels.

Thoughts and prayers

Sad news, Rest in Peace, Dewald.

Hunt in the heavenly hunting grounds
Rest in peace Dewald

I always enjoyed speaking with him. We WhatsApp texted a good bit. He shared game camera pics and also found several books for me. He will be missed!

May he rest in the eternal hunting grounds. R.I.P

RIP Dr. My condolences to family and friends.

Rotten news. Condolences and prayers for his family.

Yesterday was a somber day on the road for me when @Frederik called with the news. @Dewald was a legend and we will sincerely miss him.

All the best to his wife Sam (If I remembered correctly) and his brother Jaco.

May God carry you in this time.

The hunting and gun industry lost a good one.

Dewald was an old soul in a young body.

Our sincere condolences...

Very sad news indeed. Dewald told me about this site.

We became friends and hunting buddies. If he knew you needed a gun, part or equipment he went out of his way to help.

We both loved our Plastic Ruger Alaskan's and the .222 of which he still hounded me about a .222 Sako Rihamaki that I knew of that was up for sale. He asked for some pictures of my son with his .222 and Springbok hunting for a article he was busy with.

Our time on earth is short we need to hunt and explore more!!!

RIV Dok!!! Mag die Ruger's reguit skiet en die Buffels groot wees!!

Prayers for strength to his family

Condolences to loved ones.

I very much enjoyed his contributuons here.

As several have said, I appreciated his perspectives here, and my condolences to his family.

He came up as a friend suggestion on FB a couple years ago. Looking at his page back then, I am reminded of Secondhand Lions, which I watched a week ago. It appears he really lived.

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
