Is anyone looking for a Sig P-320?

A few years back my organization replaced our Beretta M9s with the M17. The first trip to the range to qualify with new kit was a bit of a disaster. I’ve never seen so many malfunctions before or since. These were new pistols fresh out of the box, properly cleaned and lubricated. I frankly...

    275 Magnum?

Does anyone have an experience with this round? I purchased this box of old Kynoch ammunition at a gun show recently for the princely sum of $2, purely out of curiosity. Despite being a self confessed caliber nerd I had never heard of or even seen a rifle in 275 magnum. From what I have...

    Metal wear in hinged shotguns

A lot is going to be dependent on the shotguns design and where the friction and wear points are as well. Beretta 680 series, SO/DT and K and P guns are all designed to shift the wear to easily replaced parts. This is not as much the case with older guns like vintage British doubles that...

Selecting a Scope for the Highland Stalker

Great to hear. That’s the direction I’m leaning I think.

Selecting a Scope for the Highland Stalker

Good point. In the illuminated scopes I’ve hunted with I’ve rarely needed or used the feature. But on my last hunt I took my shot with about 10 minutes of legal light left on the last day. You never know when it might come in handy.

Selecting a Scope for the Highland Stalker

Thanks all, I appreciate all the useful advice and ideas. Decided to definitely stick to a 42mm objective and under 13” in length. Now just need to decide how important illumination is for me.

Selecting a Scope for the Highland Stalker

Very nice. Im definitely thinking the smaller scope options are the way to go to maintain the classic lines of the rifle.

Selecting a Scope for the Highland Stalker

Really enjoying my Highland Stalker in 275. I did have a question that some might be able to help me with. I’m going to shoot it with irons for a bit but will be looking to get some glass. I’ve more or less decided on using the EAW mounts but I’m undecided on glass. Right now there are three...

    Guns Of The Belgian Congo

Really interesting article! I must say that despite having owned a number of Belgian Brownings of the years I have somewhat discounted that nations sporting arms, I should probably rethink that. A Browning Superposed from the 1930s and a Hi-Power for the 1960s, both great firearms that have...

    Good Gun Deals This Week

Normally they give people 50/60 percent of the value. I knew a guy who worked in the gun library, often times someone passes away and their family does not know what to do with their firearms. In order to settle the estate they go to cabelas….

    Recommendations for UK Outfitter

Something I forgot to mention is watch out for deer parks. These are estates where a wide variety of game is kept for viewing and shooting purposes. They are normally pricey and offer a wide variety of species. This is not stalking. The animals are near tame and you basically pick the one you...

    Recommendations for UK Outfitter

It will depend a bit on the part of the country you’re hunting in. When I was hunting in early Aug in southern England the Muntjac’s were still in velvet, but I was told they would be loosing it soon. If you hunted in England in September you could do Roe and Muntjac, but I would ask for...

    Recommendations for UK Outfitter

I hunted with Tusk and Antler last year for Roe. There were a lot Muntjac around but they were all still in velvet at the time. It’s a really nice part of the country and not far from London. Oliver is a great guide and will treat you right. My hunting report is below...
