    Train rides thru africa

Has anyone done one of the Ravos Rail train rides? I was considering the Pretoria to Vic Falls trip. Was it fun? Would you recommend it? I’d be traveling with my wife and kids and a couple of other families? Thanks

What was the most challenging animal you've ever hunted?

Mature bull elk with a bow in the scrub oak of new Mexico. Super hard to get a clear shot in bow range without them smelling you. The weather can be close to 100 during archery season and the elk only move a few minutes around sunrise and sunset. You can definitely up your chances by...

    Tiger fishing around Vic Falls

I’m doing a hunt in the karoo next June, followed by some sightseeing at Vic falls. I thought I might spend a day or maybe just a half day doing some tiger fishing there. Has anybody fished that area that could give me some insight or advice? Maybe a recommendation on a fishing guide? Thanks in...

Quest for the ultimate Dagga Boy

Tim Herald has some hunts on YouTube where they found scrum caps in Uganda. I think there that it’s more of a numbers game. Lots of buffalo, big herds, and open terrain where you can see lots of bulls. Look at enough and you’re more likely to find one

    Pics of your .458WM's

Just bought my first .458. It was also my first online gun purchase. Bought it off gunsinternational with no problems and it arrived last week. 1960 model Belgium browning that is immaculate. I didn’t expect it to be this nice. I hate to take a stock this old and this beautiful out...

    Cottontails

The species of cuterebra larva that we have in the US doesn’t infect humans. There are species in tropical areas that definitely do. My sister in law came back from Belize with one in her back. That one now resides in the UT Vet school parasitology dept.

    Cottontails

Our squirrel season starts the end of August and we definitely see lots of wolf worms (cuterebra larva) during that early warm part of the season. Once we get a killing frost, the larva move out of their bodies. Our rabbit season starts in November, so after the onset of cooler weather...

    Cottontails

We usually drop all the dogs out at one time and they run for the entire hunt. We actually had 11 dogs on the ground for this hunt. All of them from a bloodline that I’ve been breeding for 25 years. We don’t have any swamp rabbits in my area, only cottontails. The swampers are further...
