What are your favorite transplanted animal species which have been accepted as "native."

You never know what's down there. Years ago, a buddy was wreck fishing here in NJ for seabass. He hooked into something big and it was absolutely pummeling him on his little seabass rod. They initially thought it was possibly a world record blackfish. Then after sometime, realizing it wasn't...

Do you really think they could survive? I don't say that sarcastically because I don't have the answer. It's a bit of a square peg in a round hole. Their typical food source is a lot of mollusks, shrimp, crabs, etc. Hawaii has that but they aren't really suited for foraging around reefs, deep...

I noticed this. I was very adverse to the idea of paying a somewhat decent sum of money for an introduced species. I soon learned the wild W Texas hunts you really need a good guide for, they are physically challenging, and far from a guarantee.

Yeah it would be Iraq x 100. You would have 1000's, if not 100,000's of foreign fighters pouring in. With the way information is distributed now, word would spread in minutes of a body of US forces in country. The only hope we really have is tier 1 elements combined with some limited...

I should also say for Hegseth, he's as guilty as Trump likely is for the same thing. They're getting bad advice, bad intel, bad counseling, whatever it is.

Here is the problem with Iran: It's the epicenter of the global radical Islamic caliphate. What people saying "turn Iran to glass" or "bomb the **** out of them till they're all gone" don't understand is this is a global caliphate built on decades of radical outreach and global terror. As bad...

According to the word around the block, in another 4 days, this becomes law in NJ if our moronic democrat controlled legislature doesn't respond: https://www.firearmsnews.com/editorial/nj-assault-weapons-ban-struck-down/556029 And they are on their summer break. Which likely means it will...

What are your favorite transplanted animal species which have been accepted as "native."

I am planning to go within the next two years. It is 3-4 hours from a home I own and not expensive. What I can tell you, if you have never tried them as table fare, they rival a good filet...in my opinion. Very cool to hunt them over the same storied waterfowl marshes where ducks are hunted in MD.

Kind of a grey area and I fully acknowledge the damage they cause. Feral hogs. I guess we could call the true Russian boars transplants. The others are escaped meat hogs and crosses. I had some of the most fun I've had in my life hunting them in GA. If I lived there, I don't think I'd ever get...

How often do you hunt Africa?

I/we went to RSA in 2023. I honestly never thought I'd ever hunt there due to 1) the logistics of it and 2) the cost. We realized soon the barriers to doing it were really much lower than some trophy whitetail hunts in Texas, Michigan, Illinois, etc. From my group, 2 out of the 4 returned with...

Ahh ok. That's understandable. The longest period was on the tanning and final work. You are not the first person I've heard of with issues on the tanning side.

What was your first African Animal?

I took a blesbok right after a torrential rain storm in RSA in 2023. At the time, it was significant because it was my first blood in Africa. With a safari gold impala, decent kudu, and nice blue wildebeest following, it kind of became underwhelming in comparison. Still very memorable due to...

I'm curious who your outfitter/taxidermist was. I've only ever heard of 1-2 other people with longer timelines than ours. Those folks I know with longer timelines had CITES animals which added to the timeline.

    Greatest athlete of modern times

All around athlete: Bo Jackson is probably the number one. Deion Sanders would be second. True multi sport athletes. I am inclined to say, without a doubt, Bo Jackson. Between football, baseball, olympic level sports, hunting, etc. he's just simply the best. Basketball: Michael Jordan, hands...
