EJ Churchill (if that’s what it is) are an old English gunmaker. They used to make rifles. It I’m not sure they still do. They certainly still make shotguns. FN

I agree with Muskox and would merely add in the 30cal dept (.308 in my case) the 180grn Nosler Accubond to the list. For all my African stuff I use either 165 Sierra Game Kings or 180 grn Nosler Accubond. In my .375H&H double I use 300grn DGX and DGS. I'd rather use the .30 cal on cats. FN

Bushbuck - iconic, always a challenge and a lovely looking animal. Common duiker - not a usual answer but I love these little guys. Usually hard to get close to and, depending how high the cover is, can be a tricky and slow approach. Warthog - quintessentially African and every PG hunt needs...

I’ve found S&B to be largely good ammo and generally pretty consistent which, given the price point, is a credit to them. However, despite that consistency, their bullet choice and associated construction would not make it an ideal bed fellow when facing DG…..which is a shame as they really do...

I love my 7mm-08 but I won’t travel it. I load my own cartridges so shooting at home is fine. But I’ll only go on my international travels with my .308 and/or .375H&H I’ve arrived in Johannesburg with my lovely 7mm-08 to find my ammunition was still in Heathrow. No chance of finding a factory...
