The rifle is in excellent condition

while this is unquestionably a good rifle, the commentary raises 2 questions.
1) the stock can be perfectly aligned for a given face shape with the irons OR the scope, not both.
it is most likely a compromise for most people.
2) the second recoil lug on the barrel has nothing to do with long range accuracy.
in fact it will probably impinge on it, as it in effect will move with the wood which will happen.
2 recoil lugs are actually to stop the stock splitting due to recoil, a good thing in a large calibre rifle.
this rifle setup is not meant as a long range rifle, but rather an ultra reliable rifle with enough accuracy to handle closer ranges.
