Leopard hunting in CAR

Leopard shot at CAWA-Safari in eastern Central African Republic.
Anton, what brand/type of camera are you using? The quality of your pictures is amazing.

It's a quite interesting question, even worth beeing discussed in the forum! Many hunters neglect this "part of the hunt" and regrets it later. I take quite a long time taking photos after a succesfull hunt to really capture the moment, not saying that I always succed. With the mopane flies gathering around the trophy animal and our ears and noses, it's not allways easy to motivate the hunter and trackers to pose, but everybody appreciates it afterwards.

I'm using a Nikon d80 and a 50 mm 1.8 Nikon lens for most my photos. This lens is the best you can get for small money, I bought mine new for 130 euros. The camera house is good but not top notch either. The most important is the lens and the light!

Nothing fancy but good quality!

Thanks Anton. It does seem that many hunters and PHs neglect taking the time to take decent pictures!
