Welcome to AH ! Nice trophies, by the way.

hi welcome aboard :D Beers:.....i see i was beaten to the question of the calibre of your rifle .....but for some reason i had a suspicion it was a 9.3x62 :A Thumbs Up: and as it is ,meaning you have good taste you can stay and play :D Cheers:
LOL. Thanks! And yes I think I have a good taste in calibers and rifles. Since you like what I like. You must have a good taste also. There's a question in there somewhere about what you have/shoot. :D

Thanks Witold. Some of the best hunting I experienced was in Poland near Nowogard. I was just an observer but what a cool evening and night we had hunting wild boar...we saw everything from rabbits and foxes to trophy 8x8 stag (not in season at that time :( ). Czesc

Alright, start writing. I am much less polite than Royal.

Hope you'll share some of your Africa tales with us.

Welcome to AH.
He right Milan, he's not as nice as the rest of us.;)

well @Milan to me it seems people who join now dont bother to fill in all the boxes in their profile like most of us used to :( and i think @AfricaHunting.com should make some of the boxes mandatory before you can register........ but all you have to do is click on me and go to my profile page , then click information and there is a list under preferred weapons.......have others for "different" situations i like as well ;) :D Beers:....ps

apologies as just checked your profile and great to see you are one of the few these days to actually fill it in (y) :D Cheers:

Cool! I will fill in even more information as time goes on. Just wanted to get started here. And just so you know, I like the calibers you chose, I am a beer guy and I also like port. ;)

thanks, and good that you filled in your profile most dont (y) and i hope you have some decent port for quaffing on christmas day after lunch :D Cheers:

Usually I have a bottle of 30 yo Taylor Fladgate on standby for Christmas (the 40 is even better but rather expensive). But I just checked and all I have are a Warre's 10 yo Otima and 10 yo SDC. It will do. I really like the Warre's Otima for casual drinking.

I would like to thank again all those that replied here and welcomed me to your web site. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all!:D Beer Bottle::D Beer Draft::D Cheers::D Drunk:

@Milan good taste in the taylors (y)...but you must quaff proper vintage port after christmas lunch... with some gorgeous stilton and mature cheddar ......i have 6 cases of 1977 taylors in the cellar which might be opened in another 10 years if i can survive that long :)...my favorite while we had it in one hotel was the 1970 quinta da noval, and a lot later i used to buy all the taylors 1970 magnums in one shop as they were a very good prices due to people only wanting regular bottles, and superb drinking. i used to drink quite a lot of this nectar ....but now it is out of fashion and not drunk at all like it was 15 +years ago.. here anyway :( i bought myself a taylors 1945 one of the classic vintages for my 30th bday ....a couple of years ago honest;):E Rofl:but the oldest i have had was one of the all time best vintages , a taylors 1927 that a friend who is a top international golfer was given as a gift ..he likes port so after a sunday lunch he said lets open it :) ..from the taylors port vintage website
1927
A classic vintage Port, one of the finest of the century, but because it coincided with the Great Depression, it didn’t sell well. Part of the stock was blended into standard quality Ports.
‘Good colour of ruby/brick red. Aromas of dried dark fruit, sultanas and raisin with just a hint of dried flowers. Full-bodied, very rich and raisiny on the palate, with dark chocolate and candied toffee, very sweet finish. Lively and gorgeous.’

yup we persevered and manged to finish it ....be rude not to ;)... so milan it would be a pleasure to meet and have a couple of decanters at least of the lovely vintage port :D Cheers:

Those are some fancy ports. The 1927 sounds very interesting. I like hint of raisin aroma and even taste. :A Thumbs Up: Just had that SDC last night and that one was sweet at the start with a bit of fig taste to it and the usual bit of warm finish. Very nice but no vintage port. But then I went for a Christmas cheer with buddies and got a bit too much beer and today I'm a little ... shall we say "socially tired".
It would be definitely great to meet so who know, maybe one day... :)
Cheers!

Welcome to AH Milan! Love the pics and that Rifle always did like a Mannlicher stock.
