This has already been addressed, but... .458 Win Mag as a Dangerous 5 rifle?

I could only come up with 17 interesting alternatives...
1 .375 H&H - most versatile rifle in the world
2 .416 Rigby - siren's song that calls to me
3 .450 3¼” - I would really love a #1 blued
4 .458 Lott - it is a great cartridge…
5 .450 Rigby - a .458 that isn't a weatherby
6 .470 NE - because resale value
7 .500 Jeffery - horsepower and dancing backwards
8 .505 Gibbs - I’ve always loved that massive case...too
9 .510 Gibbs - because the case is great and the diameter wasn't common enough.
10 .577 TRex - Because energy and unprepared people splattered on plexiglass...
11 .495 A-Square because we're short and sneaky...
12 .700 RNE - because you can put your thumb...
13 .585 GMA -because we don't need to lie about bore diameter.
14 .404 Jeffery - because we need to lie about bore diameter and drink Kool aid and be odd looking.
15 .50-90 Sharps - because @Rafiki and @michael458 laid the ground work
16 .405 Win - because @crs laid the groundwork
17 .45-90 - because @crs laid the groundwork
“horsepower and dancing backwards”. Sounds like Townsend @Bob Nelson 35Whelen "moon walking" while firing his .35 WHELEN with a 250gr. Woodleigh at 3K fps towards a scrub bull? LOL

Only one forum member has produced video where he fired the 500 J rapidly and did not "tactically withdraw" while doing so and sadly he no longer owns that rifle.

@Dewald Like your list but you forgot the coolest of the big bore cartridges. The .475 No. 2 Jeffery. At least it's my favorite hands down.

Bull of a cartridge. I agree with you. Shot one a few years ago that a pharmacist wanted to sell, but then pulled out at the end.

Did that to a girlfriend once...

;)

My beer froze, my pizza burnt and my better half peed toe lines on the stick… i don’t know how to pull anything out in time…

The pharmacist- male little scoundrel- pulled out of the transaction days before I bought the Jeffery.

Not to mention he parks on the street instead of the drive or garage...

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts

Hi PaulB,
I have a Ballard Arms Model 1885 chambered for .333 Jeffery Flanged. Do you have any idea where I can get ammo for this?

I am new to this forum so I am sorry if I am doing something wrong!
Thank You!
