Greetings everyone!

Out of curiosity I decided to try out a reduced charge load in my .375 Here is the load data:

Rifle: Winchester Model 70, .375 H&H

Optic: Zeiss victory HD5

Bullet: Hornady Interlock 220gr FP

Powder Charge: 46.5gr Accurate 5744

Case: Hornady

Primer: WLRM

Velocity: 2225 FPS

Pressure: 27,429 PSI

I was surprised at how well this load shot. Recoil was less than my .270, point of impact did not shift from my scope setting for .270gr SPRP. Point of impact was 3.25 in. high at 100 yds and 1 in low at 200 yds. I don't think I'd want to try to shoot this out past 225 yards but it is amazingly accurate at 100 and 200 yards. I'm attaching a picture of a 5 shot group at 100 yds I look forward to any comments anyone might have.

What are you planning on hunting?

I cast some .375s, the RCBS mold, with gas check were either 250 or 270 gr- I forget which. Seems to me the load was with SR4759- I'd have to check the records to see the amount and chronograph results- but they were about 1700 fps. I figured I'd use them for a nostalgic deer hunt, but seems when ever I went deer hunting, I always took a more realistic deer rifle.
