Traditional Driven Boar Hunts CONUS

I don’t think you’ll ever find this in United States. Why would you not want to go to Europe for it? Spain is extremely easy to fly to and prices are very reasonable for driven hunts then you’ll actually get authentic European traditions.
Driven hunts are very common in the northeast and Midwest for deer but they don’t have any traditional European aspects. I’m sure someone somewhere in US would be willing to push the brush for pigs but it won’t replicate a European driven hunt.

I was in Czech the week before last. 2 days driven boar. Day 1 was not up to its usual. Snow, sleet and rain made it difficult to get the boar to move. When they did we were a bit slow. Your reflexes slow down in lousy weather. Still we managed 15. I got the first shot off on the first drive of the day, one down to me.
The second day was awesome, 92 pieces on the parade at the end of the day. I didn’t fire another shot. It’s a real game of chance and luck.

Fun. Who did you hunt with?

It was a great couple of days hunting. Great camaraderie with a bunch of Dutch guys. I had no part in the planning so I don’t know who it was. We hunted near Chlumec nad Cidlinou east of Prague.

Those are the best hunts. I looked into hunting there when I thought one of the kids would be in Prague for school. Very interested to hunt driven boar - and also in Ireland when visiting a good friend Belfast. Happy Holidays to you!

I hope you took time to enjoy Prague. That is an amazing city!

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
