Not so much 'wanted' at this stage but rather 'info sought'. Has anyone on the site hunted Tadjikistan for wild boar & if so please can you share the details! Was talking with some friends at the weekend about big wild boar & they both said that they have heard that Tadjikistan is 'the place' for monster pigs! Would really appreciate any first or second hand experiences! Thanks. Charlie

I know wild hogs are one of your passions Charlie & I greatly like hunting them myself !

I was doing research on where to find the largest Euro type Wild Boar & saw many videos of the huge boars & fine tusks shot in the winter in Tadjikistan, then my buddy found a contact in Uzbekistan with very reasonable prices on a combo Ibex x Wild Boar but bloody Covid wrecked it for me & after Covid the prices Skyrocketed, so again out of my reach .

From what I know the Ussuri Boars in the Khabarovsk area are actually the largest & I was meant to hunt that area 20 odd years ago but now I understand the ASF = African Swine Flu has seriously impacted their numbers, by a amazing sad fluke my friends - girlfriends - brother was contracted to cull the Wild Boar in South Korea (Ussuri Boars) to greatly reduce numbers to hamper the spread of ASF, unfortunately no opening for me to slip in there !

Here are a couple of the Boars from Uzbekistan !

Well Khabarovsk is out as they extended the closed season till 2029, maybe I will have saved enough by then to hunt a huge Boar & Himalayan Black Bear ?

Faarrrk,
that's a lot of Pork, Sarg !

Your pics got me excited about looking into one of these hunts until I noticed your fella in the second pic is being followed by a tic-tac shaped UFO !!

They're great looking hogs but there's no way I'm taking the chance of being abducted and ..........o_O

As I said, before Covid this was a bargain hunt, it more than doubled since then !

I was eager to investigate one of these hunts after seeing your guy in the second photo being pursued by a UFO in the shape of a tic tac toe!

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
