Doug, two things. 1) I concur - I rarely see anything you post I don't agree with, and often strongly. I sincerely hope we cross paths someday. 2) I noticed you focused on the well done steaks and sidestepped the BBW portion of what I stated.
To the author of the post... there are some beautiful rifles with uncheckered stocks (to use a Jack Reacher line "That's for damn sure"). My own strong preference is certainly checkered, and that is particularly true with levers. I just meant to offer a counterpoint.

I'm more interested in the thin and lite flavour, but luckily there are flavour's for all tastes!
However, that well done steak keeps on disturbing me...
I will ask for "bleu-chaud", which translates to "rare-warm", or rare, but with the raw part at least above room temperature.
This is maybe a bit extreme, but trending in the direction of BBW... That almost looks like checkering on the one on the right.
I'm with you that we can do better than Trump in 2024, but you lost me at ruining the steaks.
