I’ve been shooting my 280 AI and though I was able to find 100 Nosler cases, I ordered 100 Peterson as well, thinking I would try them.

I received them the other day and am pleased so far. They have excellent finish, consistent OAL and the primer pockets don’t require much of any, work.

They were received individually packed in a sturdy, reusable plastic box. They also cost about $25.00 less that Nosler Premium cases.

And where did you ordered them from???

Found them at Midsouth Shooter’s Supply.

We will be direct with Peterson starting in 2024. We currently sell some of their brass and I’ve been really impressed with the quality. I think they’ll continue to grow in popularity as more folks try them.

I learned about Petersen after buying Norma for my .280a.i.

Everything I have found to read about Petersen brass has been positive.

I ordered Petersen brassfor my .260 build, when they called to say not in stock available to backorder and they will be here by Christmas I immediately asked if it was this Christmas? They said Well, there delays on a lot of components due to various factors but they hope they are not to far off. That was 6 weeks ago but I left my order in place as I'm sure they will sell out and I would be back in a queue .

The rifle won't be rebarrelled till next year so I hope to have the brass and offer feedback when I'm doing load development.

Have not heard of that company. Good to have another source.

Peterson makes great brass!
Another couple manufactures that make high quality on par with Lapua brass is ADG and Alpha

It's nice to have some more quality US made options. Now we need some more independent US made primer manufactures...

Peterson's makes really good stuff.

Agree with @Wyfox the two he mentioned are a step above Peterson's. All are of great quality.

ADG is another great manufacturer. We are direct with them as well, but currently only have the 6.5 PRC left in stock. The 300 WSM sold pretty quickly. Hoping to get some of their larger stuff in the future like 338 RUM. Norma still has the widest selection of brass varieties available (including a handful of calibers that aren't even in the US right now). They are the OEM for Weatherby and a lot of Barnes as well.

Exactly. Nosler make some fine products, but they are very proud of them. $$$. Having another supplier is a good thing.

Lance Hendershot offered me Lapua, Norma, or Peterson brass for my custom ammo order. I said "definitely Lapua" to which his reply was "not so fast, Peterson is half the price and we're finding greater longevity, your choice".

I found that to be high praise for a brass I had never heard of before.

Peterson is good to go and makes brass at least on par with Lapua quality. I use both and now order Peterson as my first choice. I especially like and highly recommend Peterson's .300 Win Mag “long” brass, which is 0.010” longer from base to shoulder, which is comparable to fired brass. The "long" brass produces better accuracy on the first firing and results in less stretching of the case, thereby increasing the useful life of the brass.
