In reference to the .358 caliber options in the north fork bullets I just came across what seems to be factory information describing each bullet and best uses.
I’m planning on taking my 35 whelen with a handload of 225g SS North forks at 2650 fps for a plains game hunt in a few months, it looks like though these guys recommend the 250g or even the 270g more for those “bigger” elk sized animals. (200’s they recommended as a deer or hog , and 225’s the same but able to take elk not as a primary choice)
I actually have both 250’s and 270’s on the shelf and could potentially work up a load but the 225’s seem they would be plenty? What do you guys that have extensive experience with the north forks think? I’ve taken a few black bears with them and it was awesome but I’ve never experienced Africa to know if maybe a 250g bullet is that much more of a sure thing.

Just responding to put the information I received from North Fork regarding this question incase anyone cares,
The 225’s they said would be fine for everything up to eland no problem but they would recommend a 250 SS if solely going for animals that size or bigger.
No mention of jacket thickness difference between the 225 to 250’s.
The 200g SS being listed as for use as a pistol bullet.

Guess I’ll take the 225’s under cfe223 and run with it

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
