Hi folks,
I'm looking at picking up a smaller bore double rifle, in 9.3x74R and one of the firm contenders is a Krieghoff classic.
I was wondering what your thoughts are on the Bavarian style cheek piece? Are they comfortable to shoot and do you get a decent cheek weld when using a scope?
They do appear to be quite sharp in the comb, and I've read about German guns being set up for more of a chin weld as opposed to a cheek weld. I'll be using this on plains game mainly so most of my shots are going to made with a scope attached.
They can do an English style pancake cheekpiece with a shadowline, but of course its extra money and I'm wondering if it's worth the investment.
