Hello fellow hunters and lovers of the outdoors

Thank you @gizmo

We are all on this earth to protect and cherish what we have and it always reminds me of this age old Native American saying;

Treat the earth well, It was not given to you by your parents, yet it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, yet we borrow it from our Children.

Sorry to hear about this, Ted. I completely understand how bad of a situation you are in. As a liberal who associates primarily with other liberals, I find it next to impossible to mention hunting at all. If I do, I refer to myself as an outdoorsman and talk about conservation. If ever attacked, I simply point out that Marco Pierre White and Gordon Ramsay both hunt. That usually shuts most of my friends up, especially the foodies. Surprisingly, a lot of my friends find the fact that I carry a concealed weapon to be much less appetizing than the fact that I hunt. Go figure...

Most of my hunts are solo — just me, my rifle, and a good map. Sometimes I tag along with an old buddy for a week in Zimbabwe or South Africa, but more often than not, it’s just me.
Big fan of classic hunting — bolt-action rifles, old-school tracking, and taking the time to really be in the moment.
Just did a podcast, check it out if interested!
