Had a big boar breeding a sow in 2017 while bow hunting a swamp in Florida charge me about a hour before light while I was trying to sneak in to a spot it was a full moon so I was hoping to get a shot before she ran from him. He pushed the palmettos right in front of me but missed me by a few feet. I didn’t get him but I had my wife shoot him two weeks later went close to 400 which is a heck of a trophy for her first wild boar.
That’s the only boar I’ve ever had out right charge me in over 30 years hunting them.
Hunting the okeefenoke swamp for deer with a bow I had a nice black bear around 350 mock charge and tear out one morning. You can’t hunt them in the park unfortunately though multiple state records have come from hunting clubs that boarder the park. Bears over 500 get taken every year around there it seems.
Also in the okeefennokkee swamp while taking my kids fishing we were leaving and what looked to be a injured gator (had a messed up front leg) around 8’ had followed us a few hundred yards up and down the canal while I threw lures. He charged my 4 yr old while he was walking the trail. (He was never in any danger there’s a 6ft plus slanted bank on the trail that you walk in and I was between them. But I’ve hunted and been around gators my whole life and had plenty of big bulls get territorial or even a few follow a Jon boat or kayak if there big… but never seen one speed across 20ft of water and try to climb a bank.
