Front sight option cz550

A little while back I trimmed down my barrel on the cz550 375 and split my barrel band and soldered it on to measure for sight height and figure out which new barrel band front sight to go with , I'm about to pull the trigger on a necg masterpiece front sight but before I do I wonder if any of you folks have a different sight or suggestion on the subject for me to look at , also I've read a bunch about installing front sling band instead of using the stock ones and if I'm doing the sight I guess this would be the time , now I'm not much for a sling but occasionally I use it but what's the big reason folks like the banded sling mount instead? Lower carry position etc? I'm just not very in the know on the sling subject
