Hello all, I received an email from trophy consultant in Zimbabwe that my trophies are ready to be shipped to me destination in Los Angeles, california, they are requesting information that I have not heard before, they asked for the name address and email of my customs broker who will handle the clearance of my trpophies into United States. my previous experence is they arrange shipment with air line that they work with to transfer trophies to destination and we recieve calles or email that trophies are ready to be picked up. I am not familiare with any custom broker, is this require additional charges? need help please.

Try Coppersmiths, yes there is a charge . It can run from $600 and up.

I’m not sure how you did it before unless you used some type of full service broker or shipper and didn’t realize it? The shipper in Africa will ship to a port of entry in the US. From there, a customs broker will clear the shipment and arrange final delivery or pick up. It depends on the shipment and port of entry but I’d expect another $1500+. Coppersmiths is probably your best bet on west coast. Their fee is $400 plus clearing costs.

Agreed on Coppersmiths, and yes you have to have a customs broker.
