Another 404 Jeffrey For Sale

My friend has another 404 for sale I have it here and can take more pics or answer questions about it and can give you his contact info. It is a 98 Mauser with english proof marks 55 grain cordite 400 grain max. it has a 25" barrel and 13 5/8 LOP.The gun weighs under 7.5 lb and to say recoil is brisk would be an under statement with a steel butt plate.Also has a horn forend tip.He is asking $5500. I would imagine a Silvers pad and a recoil reducer would do wonders for the weight issue. GLWS

A lace on pad would work,I wouldn't want to cut off the metal butt plate.
