416 help

I used my 416 rem mags in Alaska for 12 years really liked their power and not too much kick .The worse stock on my 416s is the win model 70 that cheekpiece sucks to shoot it unless your just right .The other three have no cheekpiece and are kevalar and hs fiberglass straight stocks lighter and kick less to me .I only shoot standing off a milk crate on the bench with a 60 pound bull bag on it .IT makes the 416 alot funner to shoot .I can shoot it 150 times a day that way was cheaper to shoot then.I shot reduced loads 350 gr speer at 2400 fps to get use to my guns .I like the 416 ruger guns just dont like that hornady is the only one making ammo which I dont like or trust .The swift aframe .416 bullets are awesome best of any .I have used the 350 and 400 gr swift bullets .
The ruger guide gun is pretty good just hard to find right now in 416 ruger see one grab it quick .I have a muzzlebreak on one 416 my rem 700 ks one kicks like 300 win mag .I like the 416s way better than the 375s way more knockdown power .I still want a ruger 77 tang safety my favorite safety in 416 ruger .Ruger is being taken over by beretta as we speak .

The .416 is great for buffalo, but so is the 375 H&H as well as others 375s. I have a 416 Remington and it is specific only to the heaviest DG. The 375 family as well as the 406J are more than adequate and have a broader range of usage in hunting game.

I just wanted to throw in the fact that a “ adrenaline “ filled buffalo comes no matter what your are using.. watching charges on Safari Hunting TV catalogs all of this factually. One bull took 4 shots from a 460 Weatherby and still knocked a guy in the air. So , being reasonable about shot placement and shooting well is better advice than caliber. I shoot a 375 H&H, and a 458 Lott. I shoot my 375 better. Just a fact the caliber is sweet, and deadly. The 458 is a hammer. I love hammers , but the 375 is more like a tennis racket.

Here’s your chance, nice 416 Weatherby for sale on gi

416 Taylor.

Standard length action, brass, dies and barrels are readily available. 400 grain bullets are enough for buff provided you do your part with your first shot. Built one and looking to take my second buff in 2027.

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
