I never could find gaiters before my first safari. I asked my PH where I can get them and he gave me his pair. I've used them every time since. Thank you Dirk de Bod!
Randall Made Knives No.1 has been my go to through the years. I stopped bringing it because a friend of mine lost his knife when it disappeared out of his luggage in transit. Too many memories to lose this knife.
I go most years to Harrisburg and a few times to DSC. They are two different experiences. It's a 3 hr drive to Harrisburg and I usually don't stay the night. If there is something that interests me, I may drive back out later in the same week. Not to many of these shows so I try to take...
Here is Duncan at age 6.5 years. He's a sweet boy who loves to chase squirrels and take long naps on the couch. At 125 lbs he's got quite the appetite!
I wear an M-65 Field Jacket w/liner every time I hunt in Maine. Never need to empty the pockets if goes back into a black contractor bag until the next year. Got it at a flea market for $55 some 20+ years ago. It's the old woodland camo pattern. I don't change much over the years.
Whatever you buy, make sure you break them in long before the hunt. I would hike in mine starting a few months before the hunt and gradually increase the distance. Good luck!
BTT for a reliable big game rifle!!! It would cost more if you tried to duplicate this rifle. I can help the new owner with ammunition. PM me after the sale. GLWS

Good luck!
My hunting buddies in Maine are old timers and have a Stanley thermos, always hot. I have a Yeti, same. I can do more scientific studies with temperature this year but, I'm not sure that matters. Good luck with your quest!
Interesting shellfish at the fish market in Dar es Salaam. The local fishermen were explaining that the Chinese prize these shellfish. I was more interested is checking out the sea snakes and other crazy ocean creatures in the market.
Possibly reconsider selling your prize. It has value to you and brings back memories. If it's money that is the driver to sell it, auction it all off and don't look at the prices they realize as it will only upset you. Take the money and don't look back. Good luck with your situation!
I used a garmin and it worked fine. Mine even sent picture. What I likes best was the SOS feature for security and piece of mind. Good luck and safe journey!
