Who's to say the Whitworth's would be beat and rusty. Quite a generalization don't you think? FWIW, I pretty much consider the Portuguese Safari Express rifles to be "in the pattern of a Winchester Safari Express" and not true Winchester rifles. The true Winchesters were built in New Haven...

Caveat Emptor on the Winchester Safari Express rifles made in Portugal. Check out Desert Dog on UToob. He is a M70 freak and has promoted the late production guns as being good to go. He has now retracted his endorsement due to quality control issues. Primarily the barrels are hit or miss...

How do you think 7mm 160 or 175 gr Swift A Frame would work on Elk out of a 7 PRC. Too tough of a bullet or ? Or I am thinking Barnes 160 gr LRX. The Swifts as everyone knows are pretty expensive compared to the Barnes. I am pretty confident the LRX will expand on an Elk but no experience...
