    Received my hides back today in the form of Gemsbok and Kudu throw pillows along with Waterbok seats. No idea what to do with hides from the next safari as I think my wife's patience is wearing thin.

    2019 Taxidermy arrived

    Finally got the taxidermy from my first safari, which was last June in the Northern Cape. Given the limitations of my house, particularly ceiling height, and budget, I went 100% European mount, along with flat skins. I'm headed back in 2021, not sure what the plan will be on the taxidermy front...

    Flat skins

    So I was fortunate to get my taxidermy loaded onto a SAA repatriation flight last week as outbound cargo. My safari last year was my first, and I have euro mounts and flat skins for a kudu, gemsbok, and waterbok. My question is, what interesting things have you all done with plains game hides...

    June safari KLM has cancelled our flights

    The chances of a planned June safari in the eastern cape just went from slim to none - KLM has cancelled our flights from IAD. While disappointing, this will let us go for longer in 2021, and hoping things are closer to normal then.

    Moody’s downgrades RSA

    After Moody’s announcement today, all three major ratings agencies rate RSA sovereign debt as junk. Not helpful in the middle of a three week national lockdown.
