I feel like the little guys don't get enough credit. The highlight of my last trip was harvesting my klipspringer. The two animal I am most excited about pursuing this month are steenbuck and duiker. But, no safari is complete without shooting a warthog or 4.

I have had excellent hunts with Kikuyu Lodge/Harry Fourie Safaris and Numzaan Safaris. I intend to go back to both places again. I leave in 2 weeks to see what African Barefoot Safaris has to offer.

I 2nd taking what presents itself. I spent 8 days in a blind and never had a mature blue wildebeest bull come within shooting range despite the fact that most of the other hunters in camp saw them daily.

When I google "wildebeest safaris south africa" all that pops up in RSA is Wild Wildebeest Safaris, and I would trust Tonie Du Bruyn with my safari any day.

When we went back in 03 we had ample opportunity on kudu. On a 10 day trip we probably saw 20-30 mature bulls, only targeting them for the first 5 days before we harvested ours and moved to another area where they were less abundant.

With your budget and desire to hunt buffalo I would look into Charlton McCallum Safaris, Ivory Trail Safaris, Martin Pieters in Zimbabwe.

I highly recommend Numzaan Safaris in the Limpopo or Kikuyu Lodge/Harry Fourie Safaris in the Eastern Cape.
