I actually live in the Mammoth Cave area. We largely hunt Edmonson and Hart Counties, so just a little ways from where you live.

Actually we are about neighbors. I live very near Smiths Grove and hunt in Edmonson County a bit as well. One of my good friends that is a "Game Warden" for KDFWR took a very nice deer in Edmonson this early fall.

I am heading back to SA in July of 2016 after Buffalo, Nyala, Giraffe and a few others. Taking some other Officers from work on a all included male/female cull hunt for $5,000. Who did you go with on your last trip? You took some nice animals and I was just curious.

Good Morning Sir! That sounds like a fantastic trip! I'm currently planning a lion/nyala/eland/kudu and few mixed animals at this time....... buffalo will definitely be next! My wife and I hunted at Kanana Safaris in Botswana with Jason Bridger.

Unfortunately, the 100,000+ acre property is in the process of selling right now, so I do not know what future it may have in store. I can say that Jason is currently taking over Tholo safaris in Botswana and they have some good prices as well (no where near what Kanana had) except for giraffe which I found to be very high.

Who's your friend with the KDWFR? I know several of them. Unfortunately Edmonson lost their game warden this year to retirement, which was a big loss as he was an all-around great guy.

Brad Bowles the CO for Butler County. He was an officer at BGPD, then KSP, retired then went to KDFWR. I actually left the BGPD and went to F&W for a short time now I am back with BGPD. I know several of the CO's in the area Headey, Zalla (went to High School with him), Avery and a few others. Speaking of Lion, did you read my post on the Lion import bans?
