Good afternoon,
Has anyone hunted with Lindile Safaris in South Africa? I have been gifted a 4 day safari with 4 animals (2 impalas, 2 blesboks) if you have hunted, how was it?

Have not but checked their trophy prices and day rates. My advice, return the gift.

Looks like a young guy trying to work hard and establish himself, his name, etc.
It appears they are likely operating on a number of properties, none of which they likely control.
I’d ask a good number of questions. As you will see from the group here there are a number of outfitters that operate off a model to sort of get first time hunters over. That’s what this is…
The trophy fees are, as stated above, quite high…
Translation.,,,cheap becomes expensive real fast. The model is to give away a couple of “cheap animals” to get you there… then you shoot a kudu, eland, hartebeest, whatever and suddenly you’ve paid a lot to hunt with an outfitter that you wouldn’t have otherwise booked with.
Ask about the base property (some pics shown of camp)
Size…. Take you to another property? It appears highly likely
Where? How far? How big?
These are meant for first timers…but be careful and ask questions.
My honest advice?
Look at the other animals you would shoot and see what that costs (budget)
Now…if you went with a more established outfit with likely better property, accommodations, etc…
If those two numbers are close… you book somewhere else

How did you come about this “gift”?

Have you hunted Africa before, or would this be your first safari?

Four days obviously isn’t a lot of time, but $475/day to add extra hunting days is pretty steep for South Africa. And $4,950 for a kudu is just absolutely bonkers to me personally....

You did the right thing coming here to ask about this "Free" hunt you have received.

Look at some of the "offers" here and read some hunting reports from Namibia, SA, and Botswana and see all the great options you have for a plains game adventure

Thanks for responding, a relative "won" it at a show.

also, this would be my first safari

"All prices are subject to change due to exchange rate fluctuations and/or any other economic factors and/or regulations" in their info doesn't exactly give a warm and fuzzy feeling. Quote me a price and stick with it or I go elsewhere.

Thank you for the LIKE on my old post. It brought back memories as I lost her a year and a half ago, at 18+ years.
