Question is: Why do they buy the crap in the first place?

LMAO.....my ex-wife's answer to that question.

I just couldn't resist (any longer) asking.....

My ex-wife bought a corn husk on a stick "dust collector" "doll".

Knowing it would wind up in the trash.

I asked her why she bought it?

Her reply: I don’t know. It looked pretty.

A few days later, during one of her moods to "spring clean", in the middle of summer, she threw it and a bunch of other actually worthless novelty "stuff" (junk, crap) she had collected, meaning purchased, into the trash.

Yep, I just had to ask...

Why she was throwing all those things, meaning that crap, away?

Her response: Oh, they are just cluttering up the house, taking up space.

Question is: Why do they buy the crap in the first place?
Completely unsure - it’s like they don’t realize that the money was their time at some point. My second question becomes: why not try to sell it yourself?

The past week, I have found:
  • a tiller
  • an edger
  • Vintage Bassett hutch
  • Executive Desk
  • A bed frame
  • A weight bench/squat rack with 210 lbs or plates, a plate rack, and a barbell
  • A vintage clock for a mantle
  • A kids foosball/ pool table game setup
  • A $650 adult tricycle
  • Two high-end car seats in like-new condition
  • Two side tables
  • Two adult commuter bikes in excellent condition
And I’m probably forgetting some things…

Since I'm retiring soon and expect to start getting my walking in to keep in shape and prepare for elk season, I'll have to keep a look out around the neighborhood. That's just an amazing amount of stuff to find on the side of the road for free to re-sell.

They’re on me. Someone taped $15 to something I picked up today with a sign that said to have a great day.

Eight days to wheels up and the value keeps growing.

Leaving for the airport in 2 hours. Thanks for watching, folks.

I just happened on this thread and have to follow for an update! Haven't read all the posts yet but if you do this again and didn't this time you should add a barter option into the stuff you find! I have traded my way into some very cool stuff over the years and it can definitely increase overall value.

Got back two nights ago. The report will be delayed for quite some time as I work to ensure that nothing can stop us from getting our trophies back (if you catch what I’m saying). It suffices to say that no buffalo was killed or even attempted for. If anyone absolutely must know, DM me.

Sorry to hear that brother! You worked so hard to make this trip happen!
It is what it is. Like I told my dad, I’m 29 years old and I have been blessed to go hunt Africa three times. I have plenty of time to kill all the cape buffalo in the world - I’m not that worried about it.

My wife told me just to go get one next year - with a different outfitter, of course.

I will say that we did not let external circumstances ruin our time together as a family. I was able to watch my mom kill her first animal ever, watch my dad kill his first big game animal in two decades, spend quality time with my dad after he almost died a month ago, and get to joke with my uncles who I don’t get to see nearly enough. All of that was way more important than any cape buffalo ever could be.

Good Evening. I am very interested in you hunt for the spiral slam. March in 2028 would be fine for me

Couple of quick questions:

1) Can we add some additional species on
2) what do you want for a deposit?
3) how do you want me to sign up

I'm on whats app or email

I think forum prohibits making reference or giving personal references to PH/Outfitters that don't advertise on this forum.

But you can call me. I would be happy to discuss Cape Buffalo .
