I have heard only good things about the low light capabilities of the Zeiss as well. Hunting.plains game more than anything else. But I must tell you that it is currently scoped with Leopold VX3 4.5-14 x 40.

I have the opportunity to put a Zeiss Conquest HD5 5-25 x 50 Scope on my Tikka T3 30-06. I am not confident shooting over 250 metres. The great thing is that it is brand new and I am getting it for half of what it normally costs. Overkill or not ?

Got this 15 inch Blesbok from 140 metres. Shot placement was a little high but still in the lungs. Was down a slope over a bump and couldn't see the legs, hence the placement. Thank You for replying. The rifle has not worked hard at all. I do know that less than 40 rounds have past through in the last 7 years. Has a new Leopold VX3 mounted on her as well.
