I think the hardness of the 33/40's are good. I've never had one re heat treated. You can have it rockwell tested but should be fine.- wvfred

Rechamber Options - 375 Dakota
A friend of mine has a 375 Dakota which is his favorite rifle. He has been able to get brass and recently bought loaded ammo from Hendershots. -

Straight Pull Rifles?
