As said above hearing aids helped mine as I can tell a big difference when wearing them.

I have a VX6 1X6 on my 416 but I don't shoot at 250 yards that said if you're shooting that far the 2x10 would be better.

I think the number one thing a person should do is book with the most reputable and trusted company within your budget. My first safari was a shit show the second was a little better but the third one with Johnnie Duplooy was what a safari should be.

For an old scrum cap bull I think Uganda is the place to go. Look at safari classics videos on youtube and there are some hunts in that area on there.

Another vote for fenix I've had mine 4 or 5 years and still holds a charge for a very long time. It is small and I think is around 3000 lumens on the high setting.
