I had a Mannlicher schoenauer in 375 2.5 and it was a belted cartridge with a case similar to a 240 Weatherby and as I understand was the first belted cartridge.

I have a 300RUM here that I was going to build a 404 on but I have a 416 Remington I use all the time so I came to my senses and decided to just keep using my 416. I'm try to decide what I may build on it or sell it.

Find a Winchester M70 in 300 Ultra mag and build from there would probably be the least expensive way to go. Gene Simillion builds great rifles on these.

It was sold before it was posted. I checked their website before they opened this morning and it was listed as sold as with most things they have that are a good deal.

My last buffalo was taken with a frontal shot at about 70 yards it went down at the shot and never moved. It was shot using a 416 Remington with 400 grain TSX.

There are wood stocks on their website now in grade 2 and 4. I've ordered one and will see how it works out.
