I would recumbent the 286 g norma oryx in your 9.3x62, I have shot a number of large plains game with it and it performs perfectly. cape eland, projectile was recovered on the off side shoulder and weight was 279 gr original weight 286g. and I would imagine they would be ideal for lion, quick...

A very nice rifle in a rear caliber, well done.

I'd personally stick with norma oryx for all things skinned game and swift Aframes if I intended to go after heavy game. I have had great success with the bonded Oryx on large plans game, the noslers didn't perform as well. They got the job done but weight retention was alot less.

Yes there is a second number, barrels are 28 inch

So I have joined the double rifle club, yesterday I purchased this 1902 450NE 3 1/4, just waiting on some brass and woodleigh 480g RN and we will see how she goes, a very nice clean gun. On second inspection I could to pass it up, the photos don't do it justice.

Poen is a hard case, and a bloody good ph, the whole team that Mark has there are all first class, they have done a wonderfull job. Certainly bringing back lots of good memorys seeing the pics from the flight in, we did that also with Mark flying, it was amazing for my first trip to Africa...
