On the off chance someone has one lying around I’d be interested. NECG lists them but not in stock and they don’t know when more will come in.
Im not familiar with anyone else that carries or could make one.
Thanks
Not as impressive as many of the ones before but a few months ago got into black power cartridge rifles with a pedersoli 45-120. This was a picture after shooting the furthest I’ve shot with it at 650 yards. And I got a hit on the third shot too which is not bad. My goal is to do 1000 yards in a...
I have no experience loading the 338-378 so no help with loading, but I shoot the 340 weatherby a fair amount.
The 270 eldx is pretty good. Not expensive and available and as accurate as youd ever need in my gun at least. I can’t say not to use them cause they’ll just about kill anything you...
I agree that the heavier the bullet the more appropriate it seems to be for this cartridge. I load a 550 grain bullet to a comfortable 2475 ish fps.
And in the future plan on trying out the 700 grain cutting edge lazer to see what happens.
I don’t know of a good use for loading full power 300...
I’m of the opinion a 23” barrel or possibly 22” is ideal for all around use. Not that a 460 weatherby is ever ideal for all around use.
Which I say that but I’ve got a rifle at the smith now having a 460 barrel fit that’ll be right at a casual twenty-nine inches.
After that I have plans on...
So far it seems like to one degree or another yall have and use all makes of shotguns for most jobs. That makes sense, especially considering this is a hunting forum.
What I use the most is a ceasar guerini invictus for all I can. Except for also a mossberg 835 for turkey and a browning b2000...
Whenever it’s time to go out on a hunt using a shotgun, do you usually take what I think most people would call a gun that is far too nice to use? Maybe like a fox, holland and holland, aya, kreighoff or whatever.
Or do you take what’s considered a more typical modern hunting shotgun? Like a...
Howdy,
I’d be surprised if so but if anyone here has one to sell I’d be interested.
I see new old stock ones for sale on europtic for 2099. If someone has one just lying around, possibly heaped with dust and forgotten about, let me know.
Thanks
If you’re still looking for bullets, northfork makes 550 grain 0.458 solid and expanding bullets that are well regarded. Which are almost always available through reloading international.
Is g’s custom bullets still around? I had used some 450 grain bullets of theirs on a couple hunts but that...
I recently was able to get my first hi-power and also using it as a carry gun.
It’s a 30 Luger example and I’ve put about 250 rounds through it in the last couple months. Before that I replaced all the springs and had some Macassar ebony grips cut for it.
I’ve never actually shot a 9mm...
That auction with the rest of Jamison’s inventory ended up being bought in one big purchase by some distributor.
I have now seen where most of that has went and thought I’d relay what I knew. I’ll see if I can post a link...
Howdy,
This seems unlikely but I thought I’d ask if anyone has experience hand loading those bullets in 45 auto, or +p or super. Or 460 Rowland since it’s basically the same thing.
I like these bullets and the extreme penetrators as well. Carried them for some years but I’d rather load them...
I’ll chime in and say my favorite shotgun and most durable in my own opinion are Caesar guerini invictus guns. A wonderful fit and finish and company overall in my experience. “Good for one million rounds” says guerini. I’ll drink that koolaide.
A close second would be the beretta dt series in...
