North Fork Bullets For Serious Hunting

Hello Ekaterina -Thank you for your update. I as a customer do really like your SS bullets in large calibers. I do understand the obstacles you face or are facing but what I think will really help is an ETA here in the US.

You are right, it wont make it to Africa, its only to be used at the range here in the US.

    Swift A-Frame

Which caliber are you referring to and who are the manufacturers? I find that in larger caliber like .40 and up choices and availability in the US are very limited. Barnes is perhaps the only exception in their TSX line. TBBC, A frames, NF are very difficult to find.

    Tripod DIY

My BOD tripod works well, but it’s fairly heavy and a bit cumbersome to carry around. I decided to make my own lightweight version by scavenging a few items from my garage and buying the following: 3 × 8-foot heavy-duty plastic plant stakes (with steel cores) 6 tennis racket grips Rubber caps...

    Buffaloes are tough

In do understand you speak from experience. So, would you recommend the first shot to be a solid as well?

    Buffaloes are tough

I have few Woodleighs bullets and Norma PH ammo. The bullets do look the same.

Will just like to add, that using a good quality recoil pad like the mag plus from Caldwell helps if you are recoil averse. I use it alternatively at the range to protect my shoulder. It helps me.

    Elephant caliber

Trying out something before you get to own one is a great idea, however other than renting them in Africa I'm not aware of any means you can do so. Working your way up is a good idea. I for one went the other way around 470 ne --> 9.3 -->30-06. Perseverance is important, along with right technique.

The .375H&H a very versatile rifle

I have its close cousin, the 9.3x62, and use 250, 285, and 286 grain bullets. Recoil is very manageable with proper posture. For range sessions over about 10 rounds, I use a shoulder pad, which helps quite a bit. I have not tried reduced loads.

    Elephant caliber

I have not hunted elephant myself, but I did speak with a few PHs in person at the HSC this January. I was always under the impression that anything below .450 caliber was less than ideal for elephant. Interestingly, two of the three PHs I spoke with said they carried a .375, one a bolt gun and...
