Not that close, but I did have a much anticipated trip to Zambia planned when my wife was diagnosed with cancer, so had to cancel that. Her cancer is now in remission, but it wouldn't feel right dashing off to Africa while she still deals with it, so probably not much chance of it happening...

Rear sight looks identical to the one that just arrived on my Quigley after over 3 years. Its an MVA, Montana Vintage Arms.

Some of you must have seen these out now? K1-S is the medium weight, but is still 22" and not 24". Stainless and walnut, several on GB, all appear to have real nice walnut stocks. A bit pricey but nice rifles. I think if I didnt already have the African 77 I would pop for one of these.

I had the .303 for a while, but sold it as I just didnt get along well with the rifle, I found it very awkward especially with a scope mounted. It shot well, but I think I have been spoiled by the Ruger No.1 system which is much more user friendly at least to me.

Just delivered after a 3 year wait. Shiloh Quigley in .45-110 Sharps. Havent shot it yet. Also have a few Ruger No.1's in various cals., .257 R, .405 Win, and .475 Linebaugh.

Old thread I know, but nice rifles. I am actually pondering the purchase of one, a '65 GK. We shall see..... My biggest concern it the scope arrangement. It has the high claw mounted 4X Hensoldt and with the low comb buttstock I can see a riser likely would be needed to get any kind of cheek...

So what kind of Springfield is it?

My first question would be, what exactly do you have? Early '03, 03A3, high number '03? What maker? '03 Springfield covers a lot of ground.
