Lion taxidermy is it legal to sell?

It sure is messed up that trophies that were both taken and imported legally are left in limbo. : (

Lion taxidermy is it legal to sell?

At this point I wish we had donated the entire collection. This is the last thing we're dealing with in closing out my father-in-laws estate. Unfortunately we have the items with a local auction company. Neither they or us were aware of the issue with the lion. : (

Lion taxidermy is it legal to sell?

We are trying to sell my father-in-laws trophy collection. A TWRA official has told us that certain pieces cannot be sold legally but hasn't been able to show us any documents saying as much? Can anyone let me know if this is correct? I do not have room for a full body mount lion in my house. : (

It's very difficult to put a price on a lifetimes worth of passion. We've tried to pick the pieces that most made us think of Tom to remember him by.

It might be easier for you to let me know what you're looking for. We start with antelopes and end with zebras. ; ) If you pm me an email address I can send pictures.

Although I personally am not a big game hunter my father-in-law lived to hunt. I believe he went on safari at least 8 or nine times. He loved Africa so much that he wanted to move there. It was only his love for his family that kept him state-side. His name was Tom Waller. Not sure if he may...
