This is very helpful info, thank you! I'm planning to use 300gr Peregrine VRG3 in two week's time. I've loaded the solids (VRG2) as well, but it sounds like the VRG3 will work well even for body shots.

I've done the same, however my SxS shotgun is normally just used for a day and then cleaned. It is also normally used in winter (upland season) when it is rainy, so there is much less dust. During my elephant hunt I found that due to the dust, the action on my 89b became difficult to close...

Krieghoff K80, built like a tank! You do however need an engineering degree to work on it...

@Philip Glass , is there a quality difference between the Z6 and Z8? Is the Z8 more rugged than the Z6? The reason I ask is that the Z6i I own is the nicest glass I've used, however it has to be returned for repairs for the second time now in 2 years.

This would really worry me with the bullet deforming so much in a buff skull...

Kevin, I looked at the Heym Express by Martini in 375H&H when prices were around R120k, but chose to go the CZ550 route with a local version of the AHR upgrades. I really regret that choice. Such a beaut in a classic caliber is a no brainer!
