Leaving Namibia they didn’t care. I did have spent brass in my ammo box with the remaining loaded rounds and they made me throw away the spent brass. Makes no sense.
I recently bought one of the Winchester 325 WSMs in stainless steel. I haven’t put rounds down range yet, but the price was worth giving it a shot. Can find them around $800.
It took the PH a bit to confirm it wasn’t a female because he was so long. He was mature but not as old as the female. If you zoom in on her bases in the salted skull picture (she’s on the right), check out her secondary growth.
Well crap. Based on this I went and checked a couple of other recent Winchester purchases that are still unfired. One is a 300 Win Mag in regular blued steel barrel. The muzzle and throat are immaculate.

Did the Frankfurt to Windhoek route in May. Did all the arrangements including guns myself and it was my first trip Africa. Make sure you have a credit card that gets you lounge access. I was able to take a shower, a good nap, and plenty of free food and drinks during the layover.
