Choosing a rifle for a Saskatchewan Bull Moose Hunt - Input Requested

Many moose are taken in Canada with the 308 and 30-06. So consider those calibers as a reasonable baseline. As you mention Moose aren't overly hard to put down but if the shot is marginal and there's water around they have a habit of getting into wet spots than make recovery difficult...

Is there a quad-stick in your future?

Have recently spent sometime with a set of the Blasers and a set of Viperflex Pro to Go. The ability of the Blaser front rest to swivel is a nice feature. Not that crazy about the twist locks on the legs. Overall the Blasers are good but seem to have a couple cons. The Viperflex legs are a bit...

Part of being well prepared is considering from time to time if one is a little "too" well prepared. Send me a pm if you have any other questions. Thx.

Any Sako rifle fans on AH? Let's see them

Lots of nice Finnish rifles. I'm partial to the stainless 75's. Haven't found much of a way to improve then except for adding McMillan stocks. Here are a few of mine. First pic is a 300 win mag, then a 243 and a 223. Second pic has a couple of varmints. First is a 223, second is a pretty...

    optics-trade.eu ?

Have ordered from them a few times as well and no issues. They have some inventory but seem to drop ship quite a bit as well. Because of that orders can take awhille to ship, just depends on what your looking for.

    Sako 75 - still a good buy?

They're very good rifles. I have a few of the stainless versions and use them quite a bit. The only negative I think one could come up with is that they're a little heavy but that's also a sign of durability. Some pro's over the Tikka include all metal mag / bottom metal and there are five...
