Very nice. One of the older guys that I grew up moose hunting with had one in .30-06 and I always thought it was the fanciest guns in camp!!!

I have shot a grand total of two elk, both with my 308. First one was a cow that dropped on the spot. The second was a 5x5 bull that hobbled 20 yards and stopped and I quickly shot him again and he dropped. I never had any doubts that it would do the job. That being said, I really want a 358 Win!

My buddy’s wife shot this moose with her .270 with 150 grainers. Ran 30 yards, spun around in a circle and dropped. I have a lot of faith in it.

I started with Armoured and Sentinel. I enjoyed them but I think The Gray Man series will be better judging by the first book. How did you get to know Mr. Greaney?

We seem to think a lot alike between lever guns and books. I’ve read Timeline and Never Go Back. Just finished The Gray Man #1. And recently bought my first two Abercrombie books and will read The Blade Itself in the next month or two.

The plastic surgery bothers me far more than the ink!

I’ve read all of those and they are great. I’ve read the co-authored titles as well but don’t really think they added anything to the series. I’m just about to start Warlock in the Egypt series. Hopefully I’ll enjoy them as much as the Courtney’s and Ballantynes.

Which Wilbur Smith series?

I’m reading “Sarum” by Edward Rutherfurd right now and that’s slowing me down. It’s a brick with very small font. Been going at it for 3 weeks and only on page 650 of 1033!

His books are pretty fun. Alex Hawke is the lead character. My problem is that I keep finding more series that I want to read. I’ve got over a hundred books on my “to be read” shelf and am struggling to keep ahead.

I didn’t realize there was a movie. Books are always better. I read all series in sequence as well if I can. Sometimes it’s hard to find some of the books. Might have to break down and buy an Ereader! Besides Greaney, some of the other authors’ series that I’m working my way through are Lee...
