The firearm was not modified in anyway. It had the factory removable dovetail. this was built to utilize this cut out. If I was going to mill the gun I could have achieved co-witness. The new mount bolts on with the same two factory allen head screws that the dovetail used. I'm not sure...

Its actually pretty rocky ground so its not too bad. There was one soft spot in a valley I got a few loads of pit-run hauled into but that was it. Got stuck in snow drifts though a few time this winter haha!

My little weekend and hunting cabin I've been working on this winter. It's about 1.5 hrs from home but far enough away form people to be relaxing. Nothing fancy by any means but it works for me!

If you're are going to be charged and mauled you won't barely have time to lift your firearm from a rest to aim before it happens in most cases... just fyi. There is no time to circle around and "take a kill shot" unless you are in no threat and just plain old hunting it... 1 or 2 seconds...
