probably not what yu wanna hear - but a pretty simple solution. Check with your outfitter to see if he has a loaner for yu to use, carefree travel ... after all us Canucks use the same guns as you guys

looks like some of the other guys have pretty much answered this .... First of all, like a few of the other guys, not a big fan of that shot. But thinking if you're going to do it, you're into someting that shoots flat, and carries some velocity and energy - like a 7mm Mag and up from there...

Where I come from - you were using marginal equipment for the situation described, expecting big league results.

Yah - the 270 is a very versatile calibre. But where I come from - anything it can do, the same cartridge in 7mm can do it just a bit better, and anything a 7 can do, a .30 can do better . .270 Win / .280 Rem / .30-06
