    Traveling through DOHA

I just got an update from Qatar Airlines. My flight departure (July 8th) was delayed 10 minutes, but the arrival was pushed back an hour. This makes me think they have rerouted the flight path to avoid flying over potential hot zones. They could always change back to the original path if things...

    Traveling through DOHA

I have not seen any effects on my flights yet. Hopefully things go smoothly. I fly through Doha (with an overnight layover) two weeks from tomorrow.

    Hunting in the Caribbean?

No outfitters I know of, but you can hunt deer in Jamaica. I think year round as well. They have thousands that are roaming wild now after they escaped from a broken fence from a hurricane many years ago. I saw a video of some people going over to try and hunt one. I figured when it comes time...

    Courtney Stalking Rifle for sale

Looks like the trigger weight is 3 pounds 6 ounces, which would be 3.375 pounds... That said, I concur it is a beautiful rifle.

    Rifle/ammo failure on Elephant

That is indeed the video we have been discussing. As somebody whose only "doubles" are U/U shotguns, I will leave it to experts to interpret the comments for a consensus. We can educate people about protecting the environment, but we cannot educate wildlife about protecting their own...

    Assets

One challenge is the market for such weapons may be slowly shrinking and if it is, durable goods start becoming increasingly difficult to sell.

    Assets

I kept some of my Magic the Gathering cards from back then. Sold most of them, sadly. My 120 copies of various revised dual lands I sold back then for an average of $6 each and they were all in mint condition. They are between $300 and $500 per today. Granted, many of the cards didn't go up...

    Rifle/ammo failure on Elephant

There is an archery version of this and my local shop has one they are looking to sell off. Sadly, I don't have a spot for it in my garage and don't really have a place (yet) where I can set it up, but I have considered getting something like this. I just think that for an individual, it would...

FREE cancellation hunt in SA with AH member

I would have jumped on this except I am headed to Zambia in 3 weeks and I can't take that much time away from work.

Finally getting a shot at an elephant with a bow!!

I am getting excited. Looking forward to it. Still working on adding more weight to my bow. Although I am already above where I need to be for elephant and hippo, I would like to have a bit more power just to be sure.

    Filming African Safaris

I will second what Philip said about videographers messing up the shot. What a lot of people fail to realize is that given this is their profession, they often have been on far more safaris than we have. My first cameraman told me he did it because he liked to hunt but couldn't afford to do it...

    Filming African Safaris

I have had 8 of my safaris filmed. All with iGala. Obviously I have been very happy with them.

    Zimbabwe elephant cull

Maybe they should consider the same with tuskless to get that gene back to the very minor level it was in a lot of areas that seem to have a lot more tuskless now.
