    .280 Ross

there is so little real evidence of this happening, it's become a rifle myth. Only the 1905 could be done wrong and that takes a lot of effort. The 1910 is a different action and cannot be assembled wrong. The only military rifle lie that has more traction is the low number 1903 Springfield BS.

    .280 Ross

Now that own THREE 280s, thought I might check back here. Cases are available from BUFFALO ARMS, dies from C&H, bullets from WOODLEIGH & HAWK. Case capacity is the same as the 7&61 Sharpe & Hart The problem is the combination of cordite and corrosive primers has left most bores pitted and worn...

Sierra 300gr Boattails in 375 Ruger

The 300 Sierra w/W760 is an accurate combo but the bullet is a bit fragile. The 270 gr TSX is almost as accurate and will "end to end" very well. I also have some old 210 gr X bullets that see 3000 FPS in my 375s. Will kill anything in the lower 48 deader than dead. Same trajectory as a 180...

Ruger No. 1 in 257 Weatherby Mag

Since added another 7x57 1a, 7x57 International, 7mm RemMag 1b, 270 1b and 30-06 1b (which is getting rebored to 35 Whelen) The 300 H&H...

    Pronghorn Antelope Pictures

Thanks to you all. I do it every year I can draw, 13 of the last 15. Now I'm making it harder. Took one in 2012 with my 45 caliber Whitworth ML. This year, if I draw, I'll be using a 41 Swiss military converted from rim to center fire. Same power as a 44 Magnum rifle and will hold 4" @100 (10...

    Pronghorn Antelope Pictures

A'int none of these in Africa The wonderful speed goat taken near my home in Wyoming, USA. Rifle is a period Swede/Danish sniper rifle. One of the first 15,000 M96s made by Mauser Werke in Germany and stocked with Euro walnut. Scope is an old Schmidt 6x42 with huge picket posts. Loads are...
